Ask a question before buying ↗This painting began during a period of deep uncertainty, when the question of who I was becoming felt more honest than any answer I could offer. It stayed with me through the making of it.
Flowers hold that kind of uncertainty without resolving it. They open all the way, exposed and fragile, and some of them tear on the way out.
It's the first of the two Flourishing paintings.
About Flourishing
A pair of paintings centred around flowers at their most open and abundant. They're more representational than the work that came after.
