Shop Policies (Terms of Service)

Overview Asli Dane Kartal is an independent, artist-run studio in Singapore. Every order is packed and handled personally. Please read the following before purchasing.

1. Return & Refund Policy

  • Original Paintings: All sales are final. Due to the delicate nature of shipping one-of-a-kind artwork, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

  • Prints & Merchandise: All sales are final. We do not offer returns for "change of mind" or "wrong size." Please check size charts and product descriptions carefully before ordering.

  • Exceptions: If you receive the wrong item or if an item is defective (misprinted, torn, broken), please email dane_asli@hotmail.com within 48 hours.

2. Commissioned Work (Custom Projects)

  • No Refunds on Custom Work: Commissions are custom-created specifically for you. Once the project has started, no refunds will be issued.

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (usually 50%) is required to secure your slot on my calendar. If you cancel the project after work has begun, this deposit is forfeited to cover the artist's time and labor.

  • Revisions: Your commission agreement includes a specific number of revisions. Additional changes beyond the agreement will incur extra fees.

3. Damaged Items (Singapore Lemon Law) We pack every order with care. However, accidents happen in transit.

  • Reporting: If your order arrives damaged, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Proof Required: You must provide clear photos of (1) the damaged item and (2) the damaged outer packaging. Please do not throw away the box until the issue is resolved; couriers often require photos of the packaging to process insurance claims.

  • Resolution: We will offer a replacement (for prints/merch) or a professional repair/insurance claim (for originals).

4. Shipping, Customs & Duties

  • International Buyers: Orders shipped outside of Singapore may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country.

  • Buyer Responsibility: The recipient is responsible for these fees. Asli Dane Kartal has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

  • Refused Shipments: If you refuse a shipment due to customs fees, the package will be considered "abandoned." We will not refund the cost of the goods or shipping.

5. Incorrect Addresses & Unclaimed Packages

  • Address Accuracy: Please double-check your address. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

  • Returned to Sender: If a package is returned to our studio because it was unclaimed or the address was incorrect, the buyer is responsible for the re-shipping fee. We do not offer refunds for returned packages.

6. EU Right of Withdrawal (European Customers Only) Under EU law, European residents have 14 days to request a return for non-custom stock items.

  • Return Shipping: The buyer is responsible for paying return shipping costs to Singapore.

  • Condition: Items must be returned in perfect, sellable condition.

  • Exclusion: This right does not apply to Commissioned/Custom artworks.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Copyright: Asli Dane Kartal retains all copyright and reproduction rights to all artwork (including originals and commissions).

  • Usage: Purchasing an original or print does not grant you the right to scan, print, or reproduce the work for commercial purposes.
