The Blue I Carry

The Blue I Carry is a small series built around a turquoise ground. A color that connects, for me, to my Turkish roots.

Across the three paintings, flowers bend, open and move in their own directions. The works became a way of loosening the way I painted and allowing the forms to feel less arranged, more instinctive and a little more free.
